Aaron J. Berliner, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Aaron Berliner is the CEO and founder of Acheron. Aaron is the fountainhead for all the intellectual property on which Acheron is based. Aaron works as a Senior Research Scientist in Autodesk’s Bio/Nano/Programmable Matter Research Group where he integrates hardware, software, and wetware for bioprinting and next generation 3D-printing technologies. Aaron also endeavors to construct synthetic viruses. Aaron has worked as a research associate at the NASA Ames Research Center focusing on bioelectrochemical systems and synthetic biology for space. Before venturing out to the Silicon Valley, Aaron earned a BS in Biomedical Engineering and MS in Systems Engineering at Boston University under Professor Douglas Densmore. His research interests subtend the fields of synthetic and systems biology, astrobiology, control theory, automation, and synthetic virology.
Alexander Berliner, Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer
Alexander Berliner is the hardware development engineer and Co-Founder of Acheron. He worked as a research intern through the Universities Space Research Association at the NASA Ames Research Center. At NASA, Alex worked on the construction of the grey water recycling system for the Green Sustainability Base. He also worked in the laboratory testing various configurations of components for wastewater treatment systems. As a skilled builder, Alexander provides the essential hands-on labor for Acheron while also designing and constructing reactors for bioelectrochemical systems.
Carmen E. Berliner, Chief Marketing Officer
Carmen Berliner is the Chief Marketing Officer of Acheron. She is in a recent graduate of Western New England University in Springfield Massachusetts with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. Her major field of study was Pharmaceutical Business with a minor in Enterprise Resource Planning and a certificate in SAP. She is a Miss America local titleholder and is heavily involved with a cornucopia of organizations where she volunteers such as the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. At Acheron, Carmen works on market analytics for remediation and radiation-related markets.
